It's a very simple question.

However, how do you promote your forum? Are you the type of person who'll just create a forum and then rely on google and luck to attract members or do you have a strategy?

Well, since my main forum have over 6k visits daily (non-forumotion), I used to create a forumotion one just for fun and try to manipulate with codes and designs at first s. So I just posted the results on my main forum to show people how forumotion can be designed and some of them just came to help me with forumotion. So from test forum my forumotion forum started growing and a lot of people start coming from google because I used toput keywords for punbb designs, styles, codes and such. So when someone browses google for such keywords it popup my forum. So I decide to run it as official forum, not just as a test and till now have a good activity. Even thought, every month I delete the users with no posts, the number of users keeps growing.

I have a facebook page, dA page for the art we use on my forum, and I ask people. Then I ask them to ask people. I ask my members what they want--from the forum skin to the threads/games/RP's/etc.

I keep people happy, talk with members regularly, and I never stop. I never give up. And I try to work together with everyone to find a way to get more members and to get our forum out there.

I try to promote my forums on other forums, not just Forumotion. I also ask friends to join my forums.
